The Northeast Metro Tech Building Project is following the Massachusetts School Building Authority Process.
Module #2: Forming the Project Team – selection of Owner’s Project Manager and Projected Designer – Completed December 2019
Module #3: Feasibility Study – Estimated completion December 2020 – In this module, the NEMT District will develop their Educational Program which will be the driving force behind all future design iterations. Educational space summaries, definition of design parameters, and an evaluation of existing conditions will be developed in this module. Drummey Rosane Anderson, Inc will be tasked with transforming the District’s Educational Plan into preliminary design options including base renovation, addition/renovation, and replacement alternatives. Along with the various construction options, DRA is studying four different student enrollment options between 1250 and 1722 students for each option. Upon completion of the Feasibility Study, the District will submit the most educationally appropriate preferred solution to the MSBA’s Board of Directors for their consideration and approval.
Module #4: Schematic Design – Seeking MSBA Board of Director’s Approval in August 2021 – Module #4 involves creation of a final Schematic Design solution with enough detail to establish scope, budget, and schedule. The Schematic Design package will be submitted to the MSBA in June 2021.
